AAMC — Advanced American Medical Centre

Mental Health · Business Bay

A quiet room.
An unhurried hour.
Somebody who listens first.

You don’t need to have the right words, a diagnosis, or a reason that sounds serious enough. If something has been on your mind long enough to look this up, it’s reason enough to book a first conversation.

Consultations are private. Nothing is shared outside your medical record without your written consent.

A first conversation

“There is no threshold you need to cross to speak with us. Curiosity is enough.”

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, this website is not an emergency service.

In the UAE, please call 999 (police) or 998 (ambulance), or go to the nearest emergency department without delay.

Is this the right conversation to book?

None of these are diagnoses.
They’re honest reasons people book.

You don’t need to know what’s wrong. You don’t need to be at breaking point. A first conversation is just that — a conversation, in a private room, with someone trained to listen.

“Stress is starting to affect everything.”

Sleep, appetite, patience, focus at work. When several things shift at once, a first conversation can help you make sense of it.

“I don’t know if what I’m feeling is a big deal.”

You don’t need a label or a crisis to talk to us. If it’s been on your mind long enough to search, it’s reason enough to book.

“Something at home isn’t working.”

A tense marriage, a struggling teenager, a family adjusting to a diagnosis. Family sessions are private and non-blaming.

“I’d like a second opinion on my medication.”

You can bring your current prescription and history. We’ll review carefully, in your own time, and only change what needs changing.

“I’m adjusting to a big life change.”

A move to Dubai, a new role, a loss, a diagnosis, becoming a parent. Adjustment is a valid reason to speak with someone.

“I just want somewhere private to talk.”

A quiet consulting room, a clinician who listens without rushing, and clear notes on what stays confidential. That’s often the first step.

AAMC Polyclinic offers non-emergency outpatient mental health care for adults and families. We do not diagnose from a website and we do not promise recovery, cure or specific outcomes from any therapy or medication.

What a first conversation feels like

Five unhurried steps.
No pressure at any of them.

The first session isn’t about a plan — it’s about understanding what you’re carrying. Anything after that is your decision, not ours.

  1. 01

    You arrive and settle in

Reception is discreet. You’re shown to a private room. No forms to fill in front of anyone else.

  2. 02

We ask what brought you in

In your own words, at your own pace. Nothing you say is used against you. You’re allowed to say “I don’t know yet.”

  3. 03

We listen for the whole picture

Sleep, stress, physical symptoms, relationships, work, history. We ask because context matters — not to judge.

  4. 04

    We talk through options together

Therapy, an evaluation, a medication review, or simply a follow-up conversation. You decide what you’re comfortable with.

  5. 05

You leave with a clear next step

Even if the next step is “let’s think about it and talk again next week.” No pressure, no upsell.

Your privacy, explained plainly

Confidentiality is
the starting point, not a footnote.

We understand many people hesitate because of privacy. Here’s exactly how we handle it — before you ever sit down.

  • Private by default

Consultations happen in closed rooms. Notes are held in your medical record, not shared with employers, family or insurers without your written consent.

  • You control the conversation

You choose what to share and when. Nothing you say is repeated to another AAMC team member unless it’s clinically necessary and you’re told first.

  • Clear limits, explained upfront

UAE clinical standards ask us to act when there’s an immediate risk to life. If that ever applies, we tell you before, not after.

  • You can pause at any time

Sessions can be paused, spaced out, or stopped. Choosing not to continue is a valid outcome and doesn’t close the door.
